Time has flown by and we are now at the end of November! December promises to be as busy. The first report cards will be distributed on Monday. The students will be dismissed early for the Parent Teacher Interview at 2 pm on December 4th. Please make an appointment for the Parent Teacher Interviews online at vce.schoolappointments.com or call the school at 892-9394.
We would like to thank you for participating in the two fundraisers: Purdy’s chocolates for the Kenya Tuition Fund and the Poinsettias for the PAC. You will be notified when the orders come in for pick up. For Christmas shopping, the students will have a chance to buy gifts for their families at very reasonable prices at the Santa’s Little Shop of Wonders on Dec 5th. Thank you to the PAC volunteers for organizing this.
The intermediate students had a wonderful time at the Orpheum watching the VSO perform on Monday. They were exposed to the classical, opera, blues and movie theme pieces. It was fun to watch the orchestra being conducted with a light saber! The primary students will be going to their concert in March. Yesterday, we were entertained by the amazing Trent Arterberry who performed a one-man show called The Secret Life of Walter Manny.
VCE is in the preparing for a variety show to be performed at the Squamish Seniors’ Centre. We hope to entertain the seniors with all the talent from the school. Thank you to all students who are participating. The consent forms have gone home.
