Kindergarten Registration & Early French Immersion Registration

January 27 – 30, 2015  

Kindergarten in School District No. 48 offers exciting opportunities to learn through play. Your child’s play allows them to develop their core literacy skills through competency based explorations, and having fun! Squamish Elementary and Garibaldi Highlands Elementary Schools are now welcoming Kindergarten and Grade 1 registrations for Early French Immersion in September 2015. Parents must register at their French Immersion catchment area school. Children currently in English Kindergarten wishing to enroll in Early French Immersion for Grade 1 in September 2015 may also register at this time at their French Immersion catchment area school. Late French Immersion Registration (for students going into Grade 5 in September)  The Parent Information Meetings for Early Immersion are on Wed. Jan. 21st at 7 pm in the Squamish Elementary School library and at GHES.  The GHES catchments for French Immersion are BES, GHES, MES Garibaldi Estates.  The catchments for SQES are VES, Stawamus, SQES, and Mamquam south (Amblepath, etc.). Registration for all Early French (K/1) and all English K’s begins Jan. 27th (Tuesday) at 8 am at both schools.  Squamish Elementary School students and one of their teachers will visit grade 4’s at Squamish schools on Feb. 12th to talk to students about Late French Immersion. The Parent Information Meeting  will be Tues. Feb. 17th at 7 pm in the school library at Squamish Elementary, and registration opens Feb. 27th 8 am.
