We anticipate that May and June will be busy months full of fieldtrips, guest speakers and other learning opportunities for our students. We thank the staff for providing these rich experiences. We have also been using the Living Classroom for authentic learning and contributing to the school community.
During the upcoming weeks, the Gr. 3 and 6 students will be participating in the school-wide writes which will inform us on our teaching and learning. As well, the Gr. 4 students will be taking part in the Ministry of Education Student Learning Survey.
For the staff, some of us have been immersed in learning about Questions Formation Technique (QFT), Instructional Rounds, and district-wide math/science collaboration to enhance our teaching and student learning. We are learning continuously to improve our practice.
We are looking forward to the annual VCE Carnival on Fri, May 26th. It promises to be another fun event full of activities and food. We thank the PAC, parent volunteers, staff and student volunteers for making this event possible.
Lastly, the staff has been busy planning for the Sports Day coming up on June 9th. It will be a wonderful day of races and games for all.
