Wishing you a great summer!!

Dear VCE Families,

I hope this email finds you well. As our last official day of the school year, I wanted to say a few words as we head into the summer. It is hard to believe we have come to the end of the school year. Although our year took an unexpected twist, that didn’t stop us from making some great memories for the 2019-2020 school year.

I want to sincerely thank everyone in our VCE school community for welcoming me into this beautiful school. I am honoured to be working with such an amazing team of teachers, support staff and surrounded by our wonderful families. It has truly been a delight to lead our school. Even during our uncertain Spring, families, staff and students came together in ways that were inspiring. As much as things changed in the last few months, we stayed connected in the best ways we could and learned how to persevere in tricky times.

I want to wish our grade 6 students all the best as they head into grade 7 at a new school. Remember to be kind and brave as you head on to a new chapter.

I would also like to take the time to wish staff that have retired this year at VCE the best of adventures and relaxation in their next chapter in life:

Bonnie Miller, Rocio Vriend, and Kirby Young!

Wishing everyone a very restful and enjoyable summer break. I will be in touch closer to the end of August with details on what the Fall start-up will look like. Take time to relax, reflect on your year and get outside. We will see you soon enough!

Sincerely,

Sarah Hain
